TWENTY TEN THOUGHTS

So it's finally here, CHANNEL-3 2010; Artwork and Design. It's been talk for a too long time but has now come to fruition and started to run. They say that you should walk before you run but I tear up that mindset over here. I'm going to run with it. I've just got around to being able to write this up so let me share my thoughts...

I've never been too good at writing up really good long interesting posts so I'm going to keep this as short as possible, or, just see what happens. Basically, the new direction of CHANNEL-3 is now Artwork and Design, based a lot more around my, Lee Robson Spence, work and my thoughts as I progress into the new zone of art and design production for creative clients and other forward-thinkers. Coming from CHANNEL-3 in 2008/2009 as a clothing brand, where I was selling t-shirts that I had designed/printed, to now working on freelance and commissioned design projects, it is a whole new world for me but at the same time one that I've kept quite close and constant these past few years and so it just feels like a comfortable and natural progression. The clothing design is still active and new '10 t-shirts and sweatshirts etc will be available for purchase soon through the SHOP, aswell as other design prints on posters and postcards.

The past few years have tought me a lot; they've been a blast, I feel that progress has been made on this journey, and I'm ready to push this new work up into a new weight class and really make noise in 2010. I've been watching the world for a while and I'm ready to now step from being a viewer to a doer. My meta tag keywords for this year are dedication and progression. It's not only my career, this is why I'm here. I would describe my work as meaningfull, impactfull and interesting, both visually and in other ways too. That's what I strive for. To aim to make honest good looking shit that has depths of message and emphasises the power of words. I aim to inspire the viewer of my work with my work, to spread a message, to give them something to take away and think about. To make you think. I see it like this... musicians/recording artists audiolize (if that's a word) their thoughts, what I want to do is visualize mine and others, make them visable, so that my/our finished song IS that peice of art, or bit of design. VISUALIZED VISIONS. If you like what you see then I'd like to work with you and make ground break. I'm here now.
